Volunteer Opportunities

As a community hub and a centre of excellence for sport, media and culture, our strength lies in connecting people to the resources which support wellbeing in Timperley and Altrincham. The centre provides creative opportunities for social interaction and a culture of learning, encouraging individuals to try something new or rediscover an old interest, or take on a new responsibility or challenge. Please see the Whats On for more information.

Volunteers play a very important role here, complementing the work of staff and enabling us to enrich, improve and extend our range of services. Meet new people and make new friends, learn new skills and build confidence, look at a possible new career direction and contribute to the development of the local community.

We have opportunities in a wide variety of volunteer roles. Click below to learn more about the volunteering opportunities at the Broomwood CWC.

As a volunteer you can expect to receive mentoring and training in a supportive learning environment, and can gain valuable experience, skills and knowledge.

It is helpful if you can commit to volunteering for a minimum of 6 months, and our volunteers offer as much or as little time as they can afford. If you would like to join us and help develop our Community and Wellbeing Centre, please complete the form below, call us on 0161 980 0720, or drop into the centre.

Community Groups and Individual Initiatives

Do you have a good community idea that you would like help with to make it happen? Let us know

In addition the community groups who operate from the centre always need more support – pop in and have a word with them directly, or email your  interest using the Contact Us page and we will pass on your details.

Don’t forget: if you want support to start a new group let us know and we can help you get set up.
