Volunteer Opportunities

Broomwood Community Wellbeing Centre is a resource for all; whatever your age or ability there will be something going on that will interest you  – if not, let us know and we can help you start it!

The Community Wellbeing Centre has opportunities in a wide range of volunteer roles. In return for your Volunteering you can expect to receive mentoring and training in a supportive learning environment.

If you are interested in volunteering we would love to hear from you – you may want to share your skills, knowledge and experience with us or maybe want to build your confidence and learn new skills.

If you are interested or would like to find out more contact: andrew.hodson@bluesci.org.uk

We would prefer that you can offer at least two sessions each week.  This can be discussed during our first meeting

As a first step of this process we require you to disclose any criminal convictions you may have, including those considered 'spent' under the Rehabilitation of Offenders act 1974, or any police action pending. Please be assured that disclosure of a criminal conviction will not necessarily prejudice your application. If you do not have any convictions please write ‘none’ in the space provided

Please provide the names, positions, addresses and telephone numbers for two people whom we may contact as references for you.

Community Groups and Individual Initiatives

Do you have a good community idea that you would like help with to make it happen? Let us know

in addition the community groups who operate from the centre always need more support – pop in and have a word with them directly, or email your  interest using the Contact Us page and we will pass on your details.

Don’t forget: if you want support to start a new group let us know and we can help you set up a committee and apply for funds.
