Foodbank Vouchers

The Trussell Trust runs a network of over 420 foodbanks, which work out of more than 1,200 centres across the UK and provide emergency food to people during crisis situations such as redundancy, benefit delays or receiving an unexpected bill.

Here at the Broomwood CWC we can issue foodbank vouchers, which can be taken to local foodbanks and be exchanged for a parcel containing a minimum of three days’ nutritionally balanced food.

We issue foodbank vouchers with appropriate discretion, and can discuss further support available at the centre.

Vouchers can be issued at any time during normal opening hours (9-5, Mon-Fri), although the best time to call in for a voucher is on Friday mornings, when a volunteer specifically dedicated to issuing vouchers is on duty. This is also convenient because the closest foodbank, at Timperley Methodist Church, operates between 10 AM – 12 noon on Fridays.

Sanitary towels and tampons

Sanitary towels and tampons are available for free at reception.

If you need one just ask a volunteer or member of staff. If you are worried about your privacy, please feel free to ask for a private chat.
